Photoshop Tattoo Artist - Assignment #4

Artistic Reflection:
The strongest technical aspect of my fake tattoo is the tattoo itself. It looks real because I changed the opacity level to seem like a real tattoo. I also used the warp tool to have tattoo seem like it is wrapped around the wrist. The technical aspect that I could improve on would be the highlights and the burn tool. The highlights seem very noticeable and I wish that they blended in more. The burn tool seems noticeable underneath highlights on the right side. I wish that they blended in more with my arm and skin color.
The easy part of this activity would be having the fake tattoo look believable. I used the warp tool to have the tattoo look like it wrapped around my wrist. I also changed the opacity level to have the color seem believable rather using the original color the tattoo was in. The difficult part of this activity was getting the highlights to seem realistic. This was hard for me because I had a difficult time trying to get the burn tool and highlight tool to work. I also had a hard time getting the color to seem believable on my arm.
The objective in this project was to apply the black and white tattoo onto a person that wraps around the contours of my body by employing the dodge and burn tool and a displacement map. I made the displacement map for the art activity and also applied the dodge and burn tool on my arm. The only thing I would change in my project would be the highlights. I think the highlights are a little too much noticeable. I would have the highlighter not seem so noticeable.

  1. I like how you chose a tattoo symbolic to you. It looks very realistic due to your use of the warp tool and opacity changes
