Personal Identity - Assignment #2

Artistic Reflection:
The strongest technical aspect in my Personal Identity Assignment would be the space. The space allows the art to create a background, middle ground and foreground. I think it is my strongest aspect because it allows my art to be eye-appealing and realistic. I think I can improve on my layers that I have. I think if I move some of my layers, my assignment would look more eye-catching. If I move the traveling text a little bit further away from the birds that could look more attractive. I wish that the building that I put in matched the colors more of the building that are already in the picture.
I think that finding the coloring pages and putting them into the assignment was easy. It was easy to find what you wanted and insert it where you wanted it and have it seem like it blends in. The difficult part of the art activity was coloring the objets in and have the colors seem realistic. It was more difficult for me to get the building to seem realistic.  This art activity had some aspects that were easy and difficult to use.
The objective of this activity was to do a self portrait unified through color. I demonstrated the objective by using the colors from the backgrounds picture that I chose. I also used items that represented what I liked and colors that went along with each item. If I could do this art activity again I would make a few adjustments to my activity. I would just move the birds and the Traveling text around and use a more realistic building. Otherwise, I feel like I would not do anything else to my project.

  1. Love the theme of your collage. You did a nice job gathering, painting, and getting rid of the background in your images. I think you could afford to move the clouds and plane down a little to provide more breathing space above them. Also, try experimenting with the scale of the plane and "Traveling". "Traveling might look good even bigger.
