Personal Identity - Assignment #2
Artistic Reflection:
The strongest technical aspect in my Personal Identity Assignment would be the space. The space allows the art to create a background, middle ground and foreground. I think it is my strongest aspect because it allows my art to be eye-appealing and realistic. I think I can improve on my layers that I have. I think if I move some of my layers, my assignment would look more eye-catching. If I move the traveling text a little bit further away from the birds that could look more attractive. I wish that the building that I put in matched the colors more of the building that are already in the picture.
I think that finding the coloring pages and putting them into the assignment was easy. It was easy to find what you wanted and insert it where you wanted it and have it seem like it blends in. The difficult part of the art activity was coloring the objets in and have the colors seem realistic. It was more difficult for me to get the building to seem realistic. This art activity had some aspects that were easy and difficult to use.
The objective of this activity was to do a self portrait unified through color. I demonstrated the objective by using the colors from the backgrounds picture that I chose. I also used items that represented what I liked and colors that went along with each item. If I could do this art activity again I would make a few adjustments to my activity. I would just move the birds and the Traveling text around and use a more realistic building. Otherwise, I feel like I would not do anything else to my project.

Text Design Assignment #1- Sahar Sabir
Artistic Reflection:
The strongest technical aspect of my art would be the shape. I like how the shape and the curve of the letter S goes through each other. The shape also allows the art to blend together, and flow together as well. The technical aspect of my work I could improve on is the color. I like the how the magenta, and the pink colors blend well together. I feel like the blue makes the work not look as eye-appealing as it would be without the blue color. I would have chosen colors that complement each other like pink, orange and yellow.
The layering of each letter was easy in this art activity. It was easy because we had the tools in order to layer each letter. All we had to was either create a new layer or duplicate another layer. The difficult part in this activity was trying to get everything to be symmetrical, although we could duplicate a layer we had to rotate or flip. We had to put it in the right place and had to be the same length. It was hard to get the layers all to be symmetrical to one another and transform them.
I demonstrated the objective in this activity by balancing the color, and radial symmetry. I used only one font and one letter. I used the rotate and flip tool in order to balance the radial symmetry. I also used the same colors and the gradient tool. Ny doing this activity I have learned how to apply different tools into my art. If could do this art activity again I would do it differently. I would use a different color scheme and maybe a different letter. I would use a different color scheme that would blend in and complement each other better. I would use a different letter to experiment more and see how the letter you choose affects the art activity. Each letter has a different shape and length and can affect the way your assignment looks.
